Mumineen Foundation Launches Inaugural Scholarship Program to Empower the Next Generation of Leaders
Houston, Texas – The Mumineen Foundation (MFI) is proud to announce the launch of its inaugural MFI Scholarship Program, a new initiative designed to expand access to higher education and invest in the next generation of leaders from African heritage communities.
The scholarship program reflects the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to educational excellence, leadership development, and community empowerment by recognizing outstanding students who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership potential, and a commitment to serving others.
The MFI Scholarship Program is built around two complementary offerings:
MFI Annual Scholastic Grant (ASG)
The Foundation’s flagship scholarship, the MFI Annual Scholastic Grant (ASG), provides direct financial assistance to deserving undergraduate students pursuing higher education. Beginning with the 2026 award cycle, selected recipients will each receive a $2,000 merit-based scholarship, with the number of awards determined annually based on available funding.
The grant is intended to reduce the financial burden of college expenses, allowing students to focus on achieving their educational and career goals while preparing to make meaningful contributions to their communities.
Scholarship Referral Platform
In addition to its annual grant, the Foundation has developed an innovative Scholarship Referral Platform that connects students to carefully selected external scholarship opportunities. Powered by an AI-assisted scholarship search capability, the platform helps students identify scholarships aligned with their academic interests, career aspirations, and personal backgrounds, significantly expanding their opportunities for financial assistance.

The MFI Scholarship Program seeks to support students who not only excel academically but also demonstrate leadership, integrity, resilience, and a passion for community service.
