Mumineen Foundation Inc. Kicks Off 2026 Youth Leadership Program Tomorrow

Young leaders begin a multi-week journey of leadership, character development, service, and personal growth

Houston, TX – Mumineen Foundation Inc. is pleased to announce that its 2026 Youth Leadership Program (YLP) officially begins tomorrow, Sunday, September 20, 2026, launching another exciting season of leadership development, mentorship, character building, and community engagement for youth ages 14 to 18.

Running from September 20 through October 11, 2026, the Youth Leadership Program brings together young people for a multi-week experience designed to help them develop the confidence, values, skills, and sense of responsibility necessary to become principled leaders within their families, schools, communities, and society.

Following months of planning and preparation, Mumineen Foundation is excited to welcome the 2026 YLP cohort and begin this year’s leadership journey.

Developing Leaders with Purpose

Throughout the program, participants will take part in an engaging curriculum combining leadership development, character building, effective communication, teamwork, personal responsibility, community service, and faith-based values.

Sessions are designed to be interactive and practical, giving participants opportunities not only to learn about leadership but also to practice it.

Participants will engage in leadership workshops, team-building activities, interactive discussions, community-focused projects, presentations, and conversations with accomplished professionals and community leaders. These experiences are intended to challenge participants to think critically about what it means to lead with integrity, compassion, resilience, humility, and purpose.

More Than Leadership Skills

The Youth Leadership Program reflects Mumineen Foundation’s belief that effective leadership begins with strong character.

In addition to developing communication, teamwork, decision-making, and leadership skills, YLP encourages participants to recognize their responsibility to positively influence the people and communities around them.

Guided by Islamic values and principles of service, participants are encouraged to pursue excellence while demonstrating good character, respect for others, accountability, compassion, and a willingness to serve.

The Foundation hopes participants will leave the program not simply asking, “How can I become successful?” but also, “How can I use my abilities to benefit others?”

A Community Investment in the Next Generation

The success of the Youth Leadership Program is made possible through the dedication of volunteers, mentors, speakers, parents, families, community members, and supporters who contribute their time, knowledge, and resources to the development of the next generation.
